Day 1 Arrival
PM Meeting at Cairo airport, assistance through Customs and Baggage claim formalities, transfer by private A/C car to your hotel.
Day 2 Cairo
AM Exploration of the vast necropolis of SAKKARA containing tombs from almost every period of Egyptian history. The STEP PYRAMID of ZOSER is the most conspicuous landmark of the necropolis, lunch at the Pyramids foot. PM visit the three Pyramids of Guizeh and the Sphinx. Around 17:00 PM return to your hotel.
Day 3 Cairo/Luxor
AM Early after breakfast, transfer to Cairo airport for a 1 hour flight to Luxor City (not included in quote). Upon arrival to Luxor, assistance through Customs and baggage claim formalities. Meeting with your guide to cross the West Bank of Luxor, visit the Necropolis of Thebes: VALLEY OF KINGS & QUEENS, which contain the tombs of the kings, queens. EL DEIR EL BAHARI OF HATSHEPSUT the women who ruled the country for more than 15 years, there you will see the story of her scared birth from the sun god Ra inscribed on the walls of the temple and Colossi of Memnon, Nile cruise embarkation at Lunch Time. PM Free time. Entertainment on board and overnight in Luxor.
Day 4 Luxor/Edfu
AM Visit the massive TEMPLE OF KARNAK which is regarded as a "holy city" of columns, hypo style halls, colossal statues, shrines, obelisks and the scarab which is famous with its magical stories that you may experience by yourself. Then visit LUXOR TEMPLE that was once joined to Karnak by an avenue of ram - headed sphinxes, many of which still remain. PM Begin Sailing to Edfu, Captain Cocktail & Overnight.
Day 5 Edfu/Komombo/Aswan
AM Visit the TEMPLE OF HORUS in Edfu dedicated to the Lord of the Sky, the ptolemic shows a preservation soexceptional that it demonstrates the marvelous architecture. Sail to Komombo. PM Visit KOMOMBO TEMPLE, dominating a curve of the Nile, this Ptolemic temple strikes the imagination for its romantic frame. It is astonishing because afterwards it became a double temple. Haroeris with the Head of the Falcon and Sobek with the head of a crocodile. The famous mummified crocodile of Komombo are a sight not to be missed. Sail to Aswan, Gallabeya Party & Overnight.
Day 6 Aswan
AM Visit the HIGH DAM, one of the most impressionable constructions in the region, PHILAE TEMPLE, the pearl of Egypt of Pierre Loti was build to celebrate the cult of Isis, relocated by the UNESCO to the island of AGILIKA to save after the construction of the High Dam, UNFINISHED OBELISK gives a great deal of information about how the original builders set out their tasks. PM Felucca trip passing by Botanical Garden and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Nubian Show and overnight in Aswan. Optional trip to Abu Simbel by Air (Early morning).
Day 7 Aswan/Cairo
AM Disembarkation after breakfast, transfer to Aswan airport to catch your flight back to Cairo (not included in quote). Arrive Cairo, assistance through Customs and baggage claim formalities. Visit to the EGYPTIAN MUSEUM OF ANTIQUITIES housing over 250,000 objects of art dating as far as 5000 years. Of the most important displays is the TUT-ANKH-AMON collection of treasuries. PM Visit to the MOHAMMED ALY CITADEL erected in 1183 A.D. The ALABASTER MOSQUE of Mohammed Aly is one of the landmarks of Cairo whose minaret is spotted from any part of the city. A walk in the small streets of KHAN EL KHALILI market (souk), established around 1400. Check in your hotel. Overnight at Cairo. * Optional assistance to the sound and light show at the Pyramids.
Day 8 Departure
