Egypt in Style
At Royal Dream we always aim to provide accurate information for our travelers. Unfortunately information such as the price of optional activities is occasionally subject to change, and this means that we are constantly revising our trip notes. In order to ensure that you have the most up to date information for your trip we suggest that you check the trip notes for your tour around one month before departure.
Staffing: Services of representatives and local guides.
Transport: 1st class sleeper train, 5 star sailing boat, private air conditioned minibus, horse-drawn carriage, and donkeys.
Accommodation: 3 nights 5 star Sailing boat, 4 nights 5 star Hotel, 1 night 1st class sleeper train.
Activities: Horse carriage to Karnak temple, Donkey ride to the Valley of the Kings
Meals: As per itinerary (B- Breakfast, L-Lunch, D-Dinner). Breakfast is provided on every day of the tour, Please allow US$10-15 per day for additional meals.
Entrance fees: Included for all sites listed as part of the itinerary. Egypt also has a wealth of other historical sites and museums which you may wish to visit. If you intend visiting a wide range of different sites you should allow up to approx. US$275 for this.
Tipping: To avoid embarrassment and save your money all tours operate a tipping kitty. Please allow US$18 - 27 per week of the tour for this.

Itinerary (8 nights / 9 days)
Day 1: Saturday - Cairo
Meet & assist at the airport, check into your hotel, the Sofitel hotel. Later this evening you will have the chance to meet your tour operator. (No Meals)
Day 2: Sunday - Cairo
In the morning we visit the great Pyramids & Sphinx at Giza where we enjoy a guided tour. Later we visit the step Pyramids at Saqqara as well as Memphis, the ancient capital of Lower Egypt. (BD)
Day 3: Monday - Cairo
A full day tour. We see the treasures of the Egyptian Museum and visit the Citadel with its commanding views over Cairo. This afternoon we travel through the Nile Delta to Alexandria on the Mediterranean. (BD) Approx 3 hrs driving
Day 4: Tuesday - Alexandria
A full day guided tour to visit the Catacombs, Pompey's Pillar, and Roman Theatre. In the late afternoon we drive back to board the overnight sleeper train to Aswan. (BD) Approx 3 hrs drive and 13 hrs train journey.
Day 5: Wednesday - Aswan
Arrive early in Aswan and transfer to our 5 star sailing boat ( Rihana Dahabya)l, we have launch on board. Later in the afternoon we take a boat ride to the temple of Isis on Philae Island. (BLD)
Day 6: Thursday - Dahabiya
We take the early morning flight to the magnificent temples of Abu Simbel. There is always something to see, whether it is donkeys working in the fields or children playing in the water on the edge of the river. We stop to visit the riverside temple at Kom Ombo. Sail to al Ramady Island. Overnight beside al Ramady Island. (BLD)
Day 7: Friday - Dahabiya
Continue sailing along the Nile to Luxor, stopping along the way to visit the Temple of Hours in Edfu. Overnight in Luxor West bank. (BLD)
Day 8: Saturday - Luxor
Rise early to visit the amazing tombs at the Valley of the Kings. We also visit Hatshepsut’s temple, the Workers Village and the amazing Colossi of Memnon before we return to Luxor and check into Sonesta Hotel. In the afternoon we take horse-drawn carriages along the riverfront to the magnificent Karnak Temple, where we have a guided tour around the site. The rest of the day is free. (BD)
Day 9: Sunday
A morning flight back to Cairo. Tour Ends upon arrival.
